description:
Geology is a visual science that requires a high degree of spatial ability. A good understanding of spatial relationships is a fundamental requirement in the study of the Geology. Because 99% of my students are non-science majors, the visual/spatial aspects of geology can be difficult to grasp. Computers are becoming an integral part of the learning process and provide a unique opportunity to present visual/spatial information to students. The GeoWall is a projection system that allows students to see three dimensional images and animations.
More details and presentation materials are available in the Maricopa Learning eXchange package for this session.
