Almanac ======= BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TOOL ------------------------- The Almanac is a "Factbook". It has two sets of data: 1) Academic: headcount, FTSE, age, gender, ethnicity, part- time/full-time, admission status, residency, and other demographics. 2) Financial: a summary of audited revenues and expenditures, college budgets, personnel, and utilities. (It contains a history of the information most commonly used for, by college and district.) The data are contained in a set of spreadsheets. Each spreadsheet contains the raw data, percentages, a graph, and comments. The purpose is to give simple access to data and to provide easy methods to transfer data to other documents without re-keying. IMPORTANT FEATURES OF TOOL -------------------------- + Look at trend data. + Copy selected data from spreadsheet to word processing or desktop publishing documents. + Use SAVE AS menu option to make a copy of the spreadsheet. + Use TOOLBOX menu option to graph only the data you select, change the type of graph displayed, or enlarge a graph to full page size for presentations. + Print a copy of the spreadsheet and graph. + Add notation to the comment box. WHO WOULD USE THIS TOOL? ------------------------ Anyone needing information on trends.
