National Community College Chair Academy ======================================== BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TOOL ------------------------- The National Community College Chair Academy has been created to provide the necessary leadership training for chairs, deans and other instructional leaders (hereafter referred to as academic team). The idea of the Chair Academy and the programs and services it offers have been a direct result of a grass roots movement by chairs within the Maricopa Community Colleges. Through research activities and pilot programs conducted since 1989, the Chair Academy has been created to better serve the needs of this academic team within the community college sector.
