Hello and welcome to the Ocotillo 98 "Adelante" (we don't retreat; we move forward!).

see an ocotilloIndeed, 1997-1998 has been a special year for Ocotillo. Not only do we celebrate its tenth anniversary; we also celebrate completion of the new Ocotillo's first year. Re-invented with Teaching, Learning, Technology Roundtables (TLTRs) of the American Association of Higher Education at each of our colleges, the new Ocotillo has embarked on paths that lead toward technology-supported learning goals of individual colleges.

Co-lead by very capable and dedicated Ocotillo Faculty Chairs and Deans of Instruction, college TLTRs met throughout the 1997-98 school year to work on their own college technology plan. Each month, all TLTRs convened both electronically and in person to share ideas, to discuss progress of their technology plans, and to identify common issues.

The main purpose of this event is to discuss some of the common issues that were identified this year. Of course, more issues will emerge as we move forward on the Ocotillo trail. So, as we begin this event which we call Ocotillo 98 Retreat, we are not "retreating." We are moving forward toward our individual college technology-supported learning goals.

Have a great adelante!
