Meetings and Events Scheduled

At each of these meetings, the host campus has been asked to share 15-30 minutes of information about their service learning program. This might be a quick program overview, a student reading, a faculty member sharing specific course information, or anything that the college would like to share with the group. The format for each meeting will be: 15-30 minutes for host campus information, 60 minutes for the main topic as listed above, and 5 minutes for other business and announcements.

Service Learning Dialogue Day
Thursday, February 29, 1996, at Scottsdale Community College

Ocotillo Retreat
Monday-Tuesday, May 20-21, 1996 - location and times will be available later in the spring semester

Ideas and Recommendations

We hope that attendance at this year's meetings will not be limited to just those people on the Ocotillo Committee for Service Learning, but rather that you look upon these sessions as an opportunity to provide staff development for many people on your campus who are involved in service learning.

We may need to have smaller groups of people working on specific topics outside of the times listed above. There still seems to be lots of interest in topics such as a faculty/staff service day, professional growth (ETL) classes in SL, an administrator's forum, etc. If you are interested in any of those topics, please notify the committee chairs.
