These software applications, developed in 2000, have been continuously running on a 1994 vintage Mac 8500 sitting on a shelf in my office. Unfortunately, as of March 23, 2006, due to changes in our network's security, I am no longer able to run the multiuser server that makes these applications work. Therefore, these sites will not be available, unless I can find another host.

purpose: provide students simulation of multivariable system (ideal gas law) and tools for modeling through multiuser environment. In this case, given a target pressure they can manipulate V (volume, by changing the chamber size), T (temperature), and n (number of gas moles). Chat features will provide group communication.

access: To enter the simulation you must provide a valid group name; choose from:

status: August 8, 2000 This is the second working prototype with a cool interface created in Strata 3D. The shockwave file weighs in at 93 k, but streams in after about 20% is loaded.

other features: Generic MU login that we can customize for any app we develop, allows HTML parameter defintion of target movie, group for user (assigned, entered by user, or random), and flags to show server/password field.
