Comments

This program consists of narrated text with pictures (slides) and optional multiple choice questions for each lesson. The questions are asked periodically throughout each program. Once the teacher chooses the question option, it can't be turned off. The student MUST answer the question before the program will continue. Each lesson last approximately 15 minutes without questions, 30 minutes with questions. The pictures are high quality, and the text is interesting. The program lacks flexibility within lessons; it does, however, contain an Index feature which locates specific information within the story. The CD contains a 'Supplemental' folder with a teacher's guide, transcripts, and answer key. There is also another folder containing documents--writings and information on the time period covered on the CD. These documents are text-only (ASCII) files.
