Comments

This program consists of narrated text with pictures (slides) Each lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes long. The pictures are high quality, and the text is interesting. The program lacks flexibility within lessons; it does, however, contain an index feature which locates specific information within the story. Representative performers and samples of their music are provided in each part to exemplify the material presented and discussed in the program. The CD contains a 'Supplemental' folder with transcripts of the four narrations and a brief description of the information covered in this program. A second file called 'Biographies' provides additional information on the lives of several of the performers mentioned in this program. These documents are text-only (ASCII) files.
