How to Access and Use wwwtools
Created by educators for educators, wwwtools provides a regularly published collection of key web site resources, organized into topical articles
Recent articles can be viewed by anyone; however ones older than 3 months require a paid subscription to access them. MCLI has purchased a subscription for all Maricopa employees to access all of the wwwtools archives. See below for access instructions.
What is wwwtools?
"wwwtools is designed to keep you informed and to save valuable time in tracking down information and resources on the World Wide Web.
Each article is on a particular topic or issue related to Web-based teaching and learning. The articles take a skilled researcher between 10 and 20 hours to research and prepare.
Many of the topics covered are suggested by our readers--if you're curious about a particular subject or issue send a "research" request to the contact below.
Whenever a new article is added to the database you will be informed by email. You can opt-out of the email list at any time.

How to Access wwwtools
Any article older than 3 months will initially be displayed with just a summary and a form below the "Email" heading. To access the article:
- Enter your Maricopa e-mail address (our subscription provides accesss for all people with an address that ends in
maricopa.edu - Click the Go button.
- You should now see the full article and you will have access to all other articles while your web browser is still open.
Once you enter your e-mail address, you will recieve automated brief messages the next time a new wwwtools article is available.
