Add Your Photo to a Conference Slide Show

-- Alan Levine

Just to try and show how easy it is to build jClicker slide shows, we will compile one for the TCC2004 Online conference using digital images you send to us. We will even try to do this live during our scheduled chat session.

You can find the TCC04 jClicker slide show at:

http://www.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/show/tcc2004/jclicker/show/

How to Send Photos

  1. First take a digital photo of yourself at the location where you are participating in this online conference (e.g. your office, at home in the den, laying in a hammock on a Maui beach ;-).
  2. If possible, resize the image to no more than 500 pixels wide, and save as a JPEG file with moderate compression settings. If this is foreign language to you, just send us your image file. We can process it quickly.
  3. Send it as an email attachment to:
    alan.levine@domail.maricopa.edu
  4. In the body of the message include:
    • Your name
    • Your geographic location
    • A Short catchy title for the image
    • Anything else you want to include in the caption

This is an experiment, but it will be interesting to have a gallery built showing all the places people are accessing this year's conference. This might be a variant to a very interesting discussion board activity created by Paradise Valley Community College teacher Donna Rebadow, called "The View From Where I Sit".
