some hands on activities
HERE WE GIVE YOU THE CHANCE
to join us in some online interactive labyrinth explorations. Please note
that in order to experience these, you should be using either the NetScape version 2.x or later or the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Furthermore, you will need to have the Macromedia Shockwave plug-in.
BUT ENOUGH
of the techno-talk... let's do some things!
How to Draw a Labyrinth: [shockwave]
is a demonstration of drawing a labyrinth in 11 steps. Each step is illustrated in the upper half of the screen, and you can pactice using the lower half of the screen. When you have practiced enough times, you can use a free-form tool to experiment with your own Labyrinth ideas. You can also read in and modify a series of drawings made by other people.

If you prefer, you can watch a brief video demonstration by our Liz Warren, our Labyrinth expert.
Explore the Inner Labyrinth: [shockwave]
This is an exercise that you can use to explore a problem or decision in your life. Adapted from Sig Lonegren's Labyrinths: Ancient Mvth and Modem Uses (Gothic Image Publications. Glastonbury. 1991), you will traverse the circuits of a labyrinth. At each juncture, you answer a question that will help you reach your goal, at the heart of the labyrinth. Then, you will reverse this path, and the questions this time will help you frame a plan for how you will reach that goal.
