Systemic Reform In Science
The Maricopa Community College's SyRIS project involves faculty from the colleges in activities designed to reform teaching and learning in science.
This project is designed to to revitalize and improve the quality of undergraduate teaching in 100 level science courses and enhance student learning (more details...)

STEMTEC CONFERENCE
See the SyRIS poster created for the presentation at the April 18-21, 2002 "Pathways to Change" Conference sponsored by the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Teacher Education Collaborative (STEMTEC). Project Director Jeffrey Pommerville and Co-PI Pushpa Ramakrishna represented SyRIS at this international conference.

Note!
On August 1, 2002, the Systemic Reform In Science (SyRIS) project came to an end as a formal project, although several faculty are continuing to use and improve the interdisciplinary modules developed during the two years of the NSF grant. A final report has been
submitted to NSF.
