AS OF MARCH 2006 we are no longer taking new submissions to this site. It takes too much effort to maintain, and there are much more extensive collections elsewhere or easily reachable by conventional web search tools.

Besides, the bulk of items submitted in the last 2 years are spam and of such depressing nature, we are shutting off the open door.

does your

site

fit here?

THIS COLLECTION IS specifically limited to web sites/pages that are either part of a class or an entire course that is offered in web format. Before submitting a site to the T&L collection, please review the criteria listed below.

If the site you are about to submit is:

  • a single course/class delivered via the web
  • a class activity available on the web
  • a specific learning activity that is done on the web
  • course materials on the web related to a particular class or unit
then we will most likely accept the submission. The site must be content that is available via the web. On the other hand, the following types of sites will generally fall into the delete pile:
  • ads for educational materials, i.e. books, videos, institutions
  • general educational resources
  • collections of links to other web sites
  • descriptions of multi-discipline programs
  • entire online degrees or online institutions (but feel free to link examples of classes from within)
  • personal home pages
If you are looking for places to announce your web site, please use a service such as Submit-It. If it is a very interesting general site, then we also suggest that you drop it into the inbox for our Bag of URLs.
